I am quite puzzeled over this because I bought a wii and everythig works and is fine, but the other day I lwas looking on youtube when I saw sombodys tv while playing a game and the sensor bar was lit up and it wasnt my eyes or a reflection because the person acturly stated the the sensor bar was lighting up. Is this because the sensor bar i have go tis the one that came with the wii rather than one bought on its own?

Digital cameras ( that’s probably what he was using) can pick up on the sensors inside the sensor bar. I think there’s 2 or 3 red dots on the left and red side. That’s all it was. Sensor bars aren’t supposed to light up.
no its not supposed to
Their Sensor Bar is probably a Third Party one which can light up! The one that came with a Wii isnt supposed to light up!
mine doesnt light up either just mingles very well with the tv..lol..
The wii sensor bar works by emitting infrared light the the wiimote picks up and sends to the console via bluetooth. The sensor bar doesn’t really "sense" anything, the cables just there to supply power and turn it on and off. Maybe the camera picked up the IR light or they have a different sensor bar since some wireless ones that run on batteries are being sold by third parties. The standard sensor bar does not light up.
my sensor bar does not light up but u should of got one with the wii
no its not. a human eye can’t see it but the cam can.
the wireless one has a blue light.
it does light up, but its infrared, so its invisible to human eyes. Some digital cameras can see it though. My sister’s picked up security lasers at a museum once.
Nope, not supposed to light up. It’s an infrared sensor to receive not emit light.
