Did the Wii pick up the signal? Were you aiming at the bar? Was the bar close to the Wii/TV? I suggest that you keep the wired one but keep the wireless one also, and possibly try working on it. If it is a Nyko, I'd reccomend making sure your batteries are good, and they are in the right way. Also, turn the beeping timer off on the back, it drains battery life faster and is annoying during game sessions longer than 1 hr.
